Toronto is a wonderful city! If you are ever considering about going on a toronto tour then I highly encourage toronto tourism packages. Here are some awsome places you should go to when you are exploring Toronto.
Things to do in Toronto
CN Tower
I guess you knew this one would be on the top of the list. The gigantic CN Tower found in the center of downtown Toronto is one of the most popular attraction in the area. Once the tallest tower in the world, it can be seen from all directionsand from the surrounding neighborhoods. Just be sure you’re not afraid of heights!
The tower is 550 meters tall, that’s roughly1800 feet. If you visit on a nice day then the view is awesome. Every year, more than two million people take the elevator ride to the top of the tower for the one of a kind scene. Once your up there, you can enjoy a variety of activities especially the see-thru glass floor, laser quest and of course, the 360 degree revolving restaurant where you can see the view of the surrounding cities. The CN Tower is definitely one of the places you should visit when you’re on a toronto tourism package.
Royal Ontario Museum - ROM
The Royal Ontario Museum, also known as the ROM is also located in the middle of Toronto. In case you didn’t know, it’s, Canada’s largest museum of world culture and natural history and the 5th largest museum in North America. If you’re into museums the be sure it’s one of places included in a toronto tourism package.
The Royal Ontatio Museum has more than six million items spread through forty galleries. One of the places I really enjoyed going to in the ROM is the dinosaur exhibit but I also enjoyed the various cultural exhibits there including the African, East Asian, European andalso the Canadian exhibits.
Even if you’re not a museum fanatic then I still highly encourage you go see the outside. It is an architectural beauty.
Casa Loma
Taking over three years, 300 hundred workers and more than 3 million dollars, Casa Loma was finally built in 1914. Casa Loma is one of Toronto’s most glamorous and romantic castles. The castle is topped off with decorated rooms, hidden passages, tunnels, stales and a huge garden. And best of all, Casa Loma is open all year round!
Casa Loma was the life work of Sir Henery Pellatt who was a prominent Canadian financier and military officer of the 20th century. Because of his astonishment with European castles, Sir Henry contacted Lennox who was a famous architect during that time to help him create this castle which is a mixture of Norman, Romantic and Gothic beauty. When you’re on a Toronto tour I highly recommend having Casa Loma on you list of places to visit.
