Personally staying at home for a week would get pretty tedious, but people are doing it more and more. Some people think they are helping the Recession by staying at home and not going abroad. Well if you ask me, if people are just going to stay at home on their time off, they won’t be generating any money for anyone.

So why aren’t people travelling abroad for a sunny vacation, prices are lower than ever. Australia holidays and Barbados holidays have never been so cheap, and now with extra flights to the countries people should be heading out there ASAP! Well the main reason that is obvious as to why people aren’t embarking on these deals is the recession. Sometimes it won’t matter how much the holiday travel fees have dropped, they will still prove to be quite hard to save up for. Anyway, look at it like this, there are holidays to Australia, and they are luxury holidays for under five hundred pounds.

Families will struggle the most from these holiday prices. The best option is instead of getting small luxuries, is to save up for one holiday a year for two weeks, this way you get one massive luxury in one big flush. It doesn’t make any difference to our economy if you holiday abroad, it might improve it actually. Some people really don’t think though, if all they are worried about is not supplying the British economy with money, then think of it this way, your not paying any British Travel agents if you don’t go anywhere.

Why would anybody want a Staycation. So why stay at home after you have booked a week or two holiday off, i would have thought that a holiday abroad would be even better? The one advantage with having a holiday at home is the fact that it is easier for families, especially to just take your children to the beach. Don’t restrict yourself to a stay at home, make sure that you have an enjoyable time yourself.

If you are looking for Australia holidays, then try self drive Australia or escorted tours of Australia, they are great fun for all the family.

Climbing the corporate ladder was never a dream of mine. I always knew that I would work for myself and have my own business.

Although it was a constant dream it wasn’t that easy for me initially.

I did start off in a field that loaned itself to that, film and television production, but never seemed to be as successful as I wished.
Although I had a Masters degree and lots of beautiful short films, I could never really establish myself as an independent producer and always had to rely on getting work from other people.

Soon my passion (there was really only a small amount to begin with) faded and I stopped getting work all together.

Of course, I went into panic mode but also used the seemingly endless lots of free time to meditate (which is still a challenge for me) and visualize the life I really wanted (that was the fun part). What came to mind, funnily enough didn’t have anything to do with the industry that I had spent the last 5 years trying to my foot in. I was dreaming about traveling (to New Zealand, Turkey, South Africa, Australia) going on wonderful vacations, making friends and getting to talk to and really connect with people. I would spend hours visualizing and smiling to myself.

For months that’s about all that happened - nothing!
I was getting really frustrated and started to despair that nothing about my life was going to change. I was forever going to be broke, unemployed and stuck. “Damn the law of attraction!,” I thought.

In the midst of all this I decided to go to a spiritual retreat in Los Angeles (not the first place you’d think of for a spiritual retreat, eh) and a funny thing happened in the process. The hotel where the retreat was being held was sold out of single rooms and I was forced to book a double. I enquired through the retreat organization to see if anyone needed or was looking for a room-mate. I got an email from a wonderful girl my age. We connected and become fast and dear friends. She had been working from home for the last 3 years and was making a substantial income (that’s putting it lightly - She was making a ton of money) working from home. She introduced me to a brand new business that she had just started.

At first I was gripped with fear. Not having worked much in the last few months I didn’t want to spend the US$250 to get started in this business - I had tried with them before and had failed.

But then, I made a decision. I was not going to let my past determine my future.

After all, I was in a new time and place now and everything was possible.

I spoke to my fear and told it that I appreciated the information but I was going to do it anyways. Soon my hesitation turned to extreme, unabridged excitement. After all, this business was in the travel industry - the one of my dreams, and with the money I stood to make I would be able to afford to go anywhere I wanted to go and whenever I chose.
So I joined TVI Express Links Travel and have not looked back.

Not only am I making money, but remember those friends I had fantasized about making…Well, that’s coming true too. The beautiful souls that are on my team helping me to build my business are indeed angels - so caring, nurturing and supportive. Sometimes I feel like the value of their friendship outweighs the income.

But do let me talk about the income for a minute.
As I mentioned, it was US$250 to join the team. Within a week, I made that back and doubled it. By the end of this month I will be making a US$10,000 commission and that’s not with back breaking work. It’s with (get this - another part of my vision) connecting and working with people from around the world. Plus I get great travel deals Links Travel deals and an awesome free vacation ….and I know for sure that I will never have to climb the dreaded corporate ladder. I can make a mint from home…for real and you can too.

The Kangaroo Island in Australia is one of the most preferred adventure vacation sites in the country. This is because the place offers wonderful scenery of nature and offers a peek into indigenous wildlife in the area. The place has also become popular for providing access to a close encounter with the flora and fauna unique to Australia.

Aside from amazing Australian fauna, the Kangaroo Island also offers a rare opportunity to walk through immense colonies of fairy penguins and sea lions, kangaroos that are visible in the hills and fields. If you are lucky enough, you can even see koalas munching eucalyptus leaves that you can only see in wildlife channels. People who love seeing animals on the wild such as wallabies, possums, bandicoots, bats, frogs, native birds, and goannas will also enjoy the exhilarating trip.

Ultimate nature trip

The Kangaroo Island is located at the southern coast of South Australia. Although hidden in the rugged coast, the island can be easily accessed for something that is isolated. Considered as an eco-tourism destination, not all people get a chance to discover the place because the government prefers that it remains a semi-tourist destination site. This is to keep the place clean and friendlier to animals that thrive there.

Although it is not as commercialized as other adventure vacation destinations out there, people who are up for the excitement of encountering wildlife will surely like the place. People who are into magnificent landscapes, amazing caves filled with limestone, and great rock formations will surely insist on coming back to the place in the future.

For those who are planning to go on an adventure vacation to Kangaroo Island, here are some of the things that they should consider before finalizing their trip.

1. Number of people who will go on the trip. This is very important to ensure that everything will be provided for individual needs of the people going there. Knowing how many will go on the trip will somehow give you an idea what to prepare and what to do upon getting there. The number of people who will go on the trip will also help you plan your budget and the entire trip as well.

2. The length of stay. This is very important because the length of your stay will give you an idea how many items to bring during your trip. It will also determine the budget that you have to prepare and fix your schedule while you are on your adventure vacation trip.

3. The activities that can be done. There are countless of activities that can be done in Kangaroo Island. Most of which are inclined to discovering and rediscovering the nature. If you will go there, conduct a simple research of the things that can be done and choose from them. Choose those activities that are inclined with your interests and of the people included in the group.

4. Means of getting there. This is very important because you can plan your budget up ahead. The available means of getting to Kangaroo Island is via ferry that can last from 45 minutes to an hour from Cape Jervis located at the tip of Australian mainland in the south, approximately 70 miles from Adelaide and via air travel which usually takes from 20 to 30 minutes from Adelaide.

5. The available options for staying during the adventure vacation. Since it is an isolated island, there are few options to stay at the Kangaroo Island. In fact, there are only two decent places to stay including the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat found at the Flinders Chase National Park and the Southern Ocean Lodge found in Hanson Bay.

The prices of the accommodations range from moderately expensive to very expensive.

A design website, DesignBay, operated by a Sydney based 25-year-old entrepreneur, has launched their own competition to design a new logo for the New South Wales government. If you win, you will walk away with $1000. The logo chosen will then be donated to Nathan Rees, the Premier of the State, and the New South Wales Government. The competition is open to everyone around world, even UK logo design amateurs.

The competition was created after Nathan Rees payed $5000 for a new logo for the government. The logo that had been created took 18 months to do so and once it was launched, it faced harsh criticism. It faced this because the logo was meant to be designed around a Waratah flower, the emblem of the state. However, many flower experts have stated that the design is more like a Lotus flower, the flower of India.

The competition is going to be run for 30 days, hundreds of entries have already been recieved. Even thoguh the competition only offers $1000, a fifth of the amount payed for Nathan Rees’ logo, the 1400 designers on the site are more than pleased with the $1000 prize.

The owner of the website said this: “We’ve opened it up to our community of 1400 creative designers from around the world and the Australian public in general. We want to demonstrate that running an open design contest for these sorts of things can get you a better result; something that everyone likes. The government stuffed theirs up.”.

The 25 year old entrepreneur said that with a logo that represents something important, you cant rely on individual perspectives.. Because of this, after the 30 days is up, the public will be asked to choose the logo they think is the most appropriate. The winning logo will then be handed over to the government where it will hopefully then be used on everything from stationary design to website design.

On a reasonably quiet beach on the gold coast of Australia, a heroic rescue took place to save a kangaroo that very nearly drowned.

Local surfer and general Exteme sports fan Neil McCallum spotted an object out to sea that he had never seen before. It wasn’t heading in any clear direction and was being buffeted around in the swell. As he shielded his eyes to get a better look he saw that it was in fact an infant kangaroo that had bizarrely found its way quite a distance out to sea. Neil thought quickly and grabbing one of his trusty Surfboards out he went to see if he could help the poor creature.

When he got to the Kangaroo it was very tired. The strong currents and high waves had been sapping its energy for a while. Niel did make an attempt to hoist the animal up onto his surfboard, but the kangaroo wasn’t very happy with this and jumped back into the sea. A number of people in kayaks were also in the area but not close enough to help. After Neil realised that this wasn’t going to work he got the kangaroo tight against his board and holding on firmly he rode the waves back to shore. Both made it safely to land but were in need of some rest when they got there.

Ian is the name that has been given to the little fella, an ironic homage to Ian Thorpe. Experts however still cannot explain what he was doing in the water. “Kangaroos are definitely not known for their swimming abilities” states Harry Kernel of the Queensland Nature Park. He continued to say that kangaroos would only ever enter water to escape a predator or if they knew its depth was lower than their chest, but perhaps this one was a bit simple.

Ian is now back to full strength and has been eating well at an animal shelter close by. He is due be let out shortly when everyone is happy and the release site is going to be around 40 miles inland. As for Neil, he remains modest about the whole thing and says that he was just helping out another of God’s creatures.

New South Wales is located on the East Coast of Australia, between Queensland and Victoria.

Its capital city Sydney is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. From the spectacular Sydney Harbour and its world famous Bridge to Darling Harbour, the Rocks, the Opera House, Chinatown and Kings Cross you will always find plenty of things to keep you entertained.

The City is surrounded by many dazzling beaches including Bondi, Coogee, Cronulla and the Northern Beaches just to name a few and with a vast array of Museums and Galleries, a spirited nightlife and relaxed lifestyle Sydney is a great place to visit.

As well as Sydney there are many other beautiful areas to visit in New South Wales including the North Coast from Terrigal to Tweed Heads, the South Coast from Wollongong to Eden, the Snowy Mountains and of course the Outback.

New South Wales is a must see for all people visiting Australian shores.

One of the major attractions is the Sydney Opera House which is a multi-venue performing arts centre on Bennelong Point in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was conceived and largely built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, who in 2003 received the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s highest honour.

The Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007.It is one of the world’s most distinctive 20th century buildings, and one of the most famous performing arts centres in the world.

The Sydney Opera House is situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It sits at the north-eastern tip of the Sydney CBD, surrounded on three sides by the harbour (Sydney Cove and Farm Cove), and neighboured by the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Contrary to its name, the building houses several separate venues rather than a single opera theatre, the two main venues, the Opera Theatre and the Concert Hall, being defined by the two larger shells. The Sydney Opera House is a major presenting venue for Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Sydney Symphony, as well as hosting many touring productions in a variety of performance genres, and is a major tourist attraction. It is administered by the Sydney Opera House Trust, under the New South Wales Ministry of the Arts.

Another must see is the popular Sydney Harbour Bridge which is a steel arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The unparalelled view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of both Sydney and Australia. The bridge is locally nicknamed “The Coathanger” because of its arch-based design.
